Thanksgiving

November is the month of Thanksgiving. Many people say this is their favorite holiday. There is so much to like about this time of year: the Thanksgiving Dinner itself; getting together with family and friends; and the start of the Christmas holiday season.

I think there is another reason that makes Thanksgiving special — it’s the only holiday that is about expressing gratitude. We have so much for which to be thankful for in our daily lives…yet we often take these blessings for granted, and forget that everything we have is a gift from our Heavenly Father.

Thanksgiving is a yearly reminder to reassess our values, and to contemplate what truly matters in life. It encourages us to live with grateful and generous hearts and to share God’s abundance with those who are less fortunate than us.

Let us pray for peace, food, love and good health for all the people in the world.

I wish you all a blessed Thanksgiving season.
