Wednesday morning Bible Study resumed on Wednesday, September 28 at 11 AM. We are studying the Book of Revelation. All are welcome to join us!
ADULT EDUCATION “PILGRIM” PROGRAM STARTS ON OCTOBER 9:
We are excited to introduce this new Christian education program on Sunday mornings, after the 10 AM service. Developed by the Church of England to help youth and adults to grow deeper in their understanding and experience of our faith, this course offers a resource to help us on the Christian journey.
We begin with a Bible passage, discussion and prayer, and end at 12 noon.
Please join us for this opportunity to learn and grow together!
Children are a vital part of St. Alban’s and are welcome in church. However, should you choose, a staffed nursery is available on the lower level during the 10 am service for infants and toddlers up to the age of three. Nursery care is provided throughout the year.
Quiet bags and children’s bulletins are available in the Narthex.
Sunday School meets at 9:45 AM from September to May.
The Sunday School program is a vital part of our ministry to children. Through a variety of activities and programs, we seek to help our children experience the love of God and support their growing faith. Sunday School meets each Sunday during our 10 am service, from mid-September until the end of May. This year (2016-2017) we are again using the “Spark” educational program. It is designed to appeal to a child’s natural curiosity in that we begin with a brief gathering time at 9:45 am, the lesson is read, handouts are reviewed and the story is then related to current life. Question and answer segments are always a part of each lesson. When appropriate, the children are involved in crafts, artwork, role playing, singing and snack preparation. Our curriculum is always faith-based and in tune with modern Christian teaching methods. At 10:30 am, the children leave their classroom to join their parents for the remainder of the worship service.
